Universiti Putra Malaysia

UPM is one of the five research universities in Malaysia. In 2013, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) is ranked among the world's top 100 universities in the field of Education, outdoing more than 2,000 other universities around the globe. According to the review by the QS World University Rankings 2013/14, UPM is placed among 51th to 100th with other Asian universities. Currently, UPM has 16 faculties and 9 institutes with a total population of 18,878 undergraduate and 10,283 postgraduate students as well as 2,902 academic staff. With the vision to become a university of international repute, UPM is committed to become a leading centre of learning and research, contributing not only towards the creation of wealth and nation building but also towards universal human advancement and discovery of knowledge.

Faculty of Educational Studies

The Faculty of Educational Studies was established on 15 January, 1975. Currently the faculty has six departments offering programs at Diploma, Bachelor, Masters and PhD levels. As of Semester 1, 2014/2015, there are 1,205 and 1,017 undergraduate and postgraduate students, respectively.
